What is this qualification?
The Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming is the industry standard for those who wish to teach unsupervised and is essential for seeking employment as a swimming teacher. It aims to provide you with all the skills to enable you to teach non-swimmers through to swimmers of an early competition level. It also gives you the skills to be able to supervise Level 1 teachers.

The qualification aims to provide and equip you, the teacher, with the skills, knowledge, tools, and techniques to effectively plan, prepare, deliver, monitor, and evaluate aquatic sessions.

How is the qualification assessed?
This qualification is assessed through both written and practical assessment tasks.
Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)
Please contact us if you believe you may be exempt from parts of this qualification due to other training, qualifications or experience you have gained previously.
A copy of our RPL policy along with an application form will be sent to you.
Learners must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the course and hold on of the following*:
There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved. Therefore, it is recommended for learners to have Functional Skills in English pitched at Level 1.

£775.00 per person.

Once you have successfully completed the course, results can take up to 12 weeks to be processed.
Certificates will then be sent out to your home or work address, as listed on your booking details.
There a currently two funding options available:
1. If you are 19 years of age or over and claiming benefit you may be eligible to receive the course for free! Click here for details.
