We offer RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and STA Swim Teacher courses. These are nationally recognised qualifications for lifeguards and swim teachers.

We do also offer other NPLQ and STA courses - enquire for more details.

Our main training centre is located at Brighton Swimming Centre, Eastern Road, Brighton, BN2 5JJ.

STA Level 2 Award course you do not need any prior experience to complete the course you just have to be over the age of 16years.

RLSS NPLQ course you need to be able to:

• Jump/dive into deep water

• Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds

• Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back

• In deep water, tread water for 30 seconds

• Surface dive to the floor of the pool

• Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits

The fee covers:

• Instruction and training materials

• Practical sessions

• Assessment fees

• Certification / qualification on successful completion

The STA Level 2 Award in Swimming Teaching course typically takes place over 6 consecutive days.

The RLSS NPLQ course typically takes place over 5 consecutive days

We have a refund / cancellation policy in place. Please see below:

- 4 weeks’ notice of course start date = no cancellation on fee – full refund

- 3 weeks’ notice of course start date = 25% of course fee

- 2 weeks’ notice of course start date = 50% of course fee

- 1 week notice of course start date = 75% of course fee

- Less than 1 week of course start date = 100 % of course fee – no refund
