Swim UK (formerly Brighton Swimming Teachers Centre) operates one of the largest programmes of Swimming Teaching (ASA) and Lifeguard (RLSS) courses in the UK.
Formed by Paul Smith in 1995 to provide training to the staff of Brighton Swimming School to become lifeguards and swimming teachers/assistants. Swim UK courses are now offered to those working within the leisure industry, schools and swimming clubs. We have an innovative and pioneering approach to training and with an increasing number of people becoming swimming teachers our achievement rates for the courses are over 90%. We also received a grade 2 (good) at our Ofsted inspection in 2009.
